September : Mabon

Wishing you a Blessed Mabon

Spring / Autumn Equinox of finding balance and removing obstacles.

Feed the Birds Feed the Dreams. Make a wish on some bird seed and then feed it to the birds today. You will surely get your wish !

Make a wish list and ask the universe to make it manifest in a way that you have no doubt that it comes from a higher power.

Mabon - Spring / Autumn Equinox is celebrated when the sidereal sun is in Virgo or at 1 degree Libra in tropical time.

Photograph taken of the Sun's sidereal (actual) position in the sky (Virgo) on September 22                                                                The degrees are in tropical time (1 degree Libra).

Believe in Fairies
They make dreams come true
Believe in the wonder
The stars and the moon
Believe in magic
From fairies above
They dance on the flowers
And sing songs of love
And if you just believe
And always speak the truth
The fairies will be there
to watch over you

Mabon signifies a time to pray or meditate for the removal of obstacles and for receiving blessings. It is a time for thanksgiving, evaluation and meditation. Give in order to receive. It is a time to find and restore balance. The Sun passes the equator on its trek to the south. We find ourselves with a night and day equal.

The South African Spring Equinox (Mabon) brings Strawberries, Watermelons and Romance !
It is a time of fairies and dreams and rekindling of love and hope.

It is considered a good time for love and marriage. Live with an attitude of gratitude. Share your good fortune. It is a time to honor new life.

Decorate your dining room or kitchen with flowers, fruit and sweets. Burn red candles.

Colours: Red, Pink and Green.

God / dess: Ganesha and Luxmi.

Spring Equinox is one of the four great solar festivals of the year. Day and night are equal, poised and balanced, but about to tip over on the side of light. Spring Equinox is sacred to dawn, youth and the morning star. It vibrates with the energy of the east and the element of wood. It resonates to the numbers 3 and 4.  During the Spring / Autumn Equinox the light of day and the dark of night are equal. This energy brings opportunity to balance and embrace all parts of yourself as you let go of any barriers and obstacles that have been holding you back from your happiness. The Sun brightens our outer world and the night reflects the feelings of our inner world. Dance to the rhythm of its magical beat.

Become Aware of the power of choice:
1. Choose your thoughts carefully, because thoughts become things. What you think about you bring about. We are not at the mercy of fate. We are powerful co-creators of our destiny.
2. Choose how you respond to the people and circumstances in your life.
We cannot change others or a situation, but we can change the way we look at things.
3. Choose your words carefully. The tongue holds the power of life and death. Words act like a magic wand and manifests what we think. As jy dit wil he moet jy dit se. If you want it, say it.

Things that are out of balance are being brought into focus now. This calls for a realignment with higher energy vibration and a more enlightened and receptive approach to life. It brings about awareness that we have the potential to co-create a more joyful and fulfilling life guided by the energy of love. Find inner balance and harmony by softening your heart, mind and perceptions. Focus on the areas of your life that are in need of re-alignment. Focus your energy on creating joy in your life. Follow you heart and be blessed with bliss. Bless those areas of your life that are stuck and use the current energy of self-empowerment to restore balance and happiness.

We are living in a time of transformation. Changes occur at a tremendous speed. For example you may buy the latest cellular phone today and in a week's time they bring out something even better. The great thing about this is that opportunities abound. Be open and receptive and move with life's fast moving flow.

The Wholeness of the World is Love.

Southern Hemisphere Mabon:
*Some writers suggest that all the celebrations should be turned around for the Southern Hemisphere and that during Mabon we should celebrate Ostara (Easter). Spiritual celebrations are universal and cannot be turned around for the simple fact that they are based on the movement and placement of the planets and not on the seasons.
*To switch it on the basis of seasons is flawed.  I have studied esoteric subjects since I can remember and have lived in both the Northern and the Southern Hemisphere. The Southern Hemisphere does not encounter the same severe winters as the Northern Hemisphere. I live in Johannesburg and sit and tan outside next to my pool in winter. When I lived in England in the winter, I was dressed like a padded Eskimo when I went outside and still froze half to death.
*Most plants continue to grow in our winter in the Southern Hemisphere.
*Animals don't need to hibernate in the Southern Hemisphere winter (only reptiles).
*The reason the ancients said that Fire (Heat) is South are numerous:
-The Southern Hemisphere countries are hotter and closer to the equator than the
          countries in the Northern Hemisphere.
-The Red Phoenix rising from the ashes of the South (Feng Shui): from June to December
the Sun (Son of God) travels south where he dies on the Southern Cross on the
22nd December to rise three days later. For this very reason we all celebrate Christ-mass
on 25 December. To suggest that the Southern Hemisphere should celebrate Christmas
in June would be faulty as there is no cross in the Northern Hemisphere sky where the sun
stays on the same lateral for 3days without moving.
*At Easter the Sun (Son of God) is resurrected. To suggest that the Southern Hemisphere should celebrate Easter in September is absurd. The Sun travels from the South back to the North. The movement of the planets do not change.
*Mabon falls close to Ganesha Chaturthi and its purpose is the same - to remove obstacles, find courage and balance.
*Imbolc is similar to Shivaratri and the Pagan Festival in Brazil (5 day carnaval).
These celebrations all occur when the new moon enters Aquarius (tropical) / Capricorn (sidereal) in
February and cannot be moved to August no matter where you live on the planet.
*These festivals are based on the movement of the planets.
A study or research in Astro-theology clearly reveals this.
